borderline personality disorder
Treatment

We provide world-class diagnostic and treatment services to adolescents
suffering from borderline personality disorder.

Borderline Personality is perhaps the most misdiagnosed, and misunderstood diagnosis in community mental health. Our mission is to show that borderline personality is quite treatable, and that clients suffering from it have great hope, and can live fulfilling connected lives.

Borderline Personality Disorder is a highly treatable, often misunderstood illness. At Bloom, we find this diagnoses to be one of promise and hope, and welcome the opportunity to work with you in exploring this diagnosis, and assisting in your journey to wellness.

The core treatment for Borderline Personality is evidence based psychotherapies, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As part of our commitment to keeping your health and wellbeing first, we advise virtually all patients to engage in evidence based therapy that understands you, and helps you refine and train those parts of yourself that can make life hard and exhausting. Good therapy is worth every penny.

We do not offer psychotherapy at Bloom, but instead collaborate with therapy groups that do. This actually can work to your advantage by letting  you have a team helping you heal, rather than just one provider. We are happy to share recommendations for therapy groups that may be helpful, depending  on your specific concerns.

Our main goal for helping patients at Bloom typically starts with providing diagnostic clarification, since Borderline Personality is often misdiagnosed (it is commonly misdiagnosed as bipolar disorder, PTSD, or ADHD). We can then help treat any ongoing anger, mood swings, depression, anxiety, suicidal or self harm thoughts, or PTSD symptoms. We often do this through a combination of natural treatments and medications, in addition to collaborating with your therapy team.

Often, one of the best things a psychiatric practice can do is to not *over* medicate, and crush that energetic spirit that makes you unique and important. Our goal is to provide healthy, effective treatments that assist in your road to wellness, but don't crush you beneath heavy loads of unnecessary medications.

You are unique, and this can be used as a force for great good. We look forward to discussing how.
