Q: Can the doctor prescribe or refill my (or my child's) medication if appointments are done by telehealth? A: Yes. We are fully set up to prescribe all medications (including controlled substances) electronically, and the doctor can send them to the pharmacy during your appointment. No need to wait for paper prescriptions.
Q: Do I need any special equipment or computer setup for a telehealth appointment? A: Not at all. Many clients use their laptop or phone to connect. Setup is easy, and we can help walk you through it.
Q: How much will this cost? A: We have recently changed our pricing options to make consultations and follow ups more affordable (see the prices tab). In many cases we can diagnose and begin treatment during the first patient visit. We then work with our nurse consultants and any therapist you are seeing to ensure that return appointments with us are short, highly productive, and only scheduled when needed. Total cost of care is lower than you might imagine, and far lower than many treatment alternatives. We are more than happy to discuss this with you, and our initial phone consultation is free.
Q: What if I have anxiety, fears, or concerns related to Coronavirus? A: Many of our clients have mental health concerns related to the recent pandemic, social isolation, change in routine, and worries about the future. We are quite experienced in helping with the stress, anxiety, and depression surrounding these kinds of events, and are ready to help.
Q: What if I (or my child) is struggling with the changes in daily routine, and problems with attention, focus, and staying productive? A: Being stuck at home, new changes to daily structure, and worries about the state of the country can greatly affect our ability to focus, stay calm, and be productive. This can make work and school unnecessarily difficult. We routinely help children, adolescents, and adults struggling with these issues, and are well positioned to help you get back to normal, and even thrive during this current crisis!
Q: I'm not sure I need medication, but I'm struggling (or my child is struggling) with mental health concerns. A: We believe strongly in offering safe, effective, scientifically sound medication management as well as alternative treatments for adults and children.
Q: If I'm a new patient with no prior mental health treatment, will the doctor still be able to treat me? A:Yes, many of our new clients have never seen a mental health provider before. This is totally normal.
Q: What does it look like to get started with Bloom? A: It's easy to get started. Here's what a typical new patient intake looks like:
Call us at 303-801-1776. Our assistants can talk with you about your concerns, and discuss whether this practice is what you are looking for.
If it seems like we can help, they will schedule a free, 15 minute telephone consultation with Dr. Webb so you can meet him, and see if his style and approach works for you!
We will schedule a 1 hour new patient intake, often within the same week.
Dr. Webb will discuss diagnostic impressions and treatment plan (including any medications) on this first visit.
Most follow up appointments are 15 or 30 minutes and typically are scheduled every few weeks (for more serious concerns) to every few months (for maintenance visits). Our aim is to get you stabilized so that you either able to discharge (we call it "Graduate") from our practice, or only need to check in occasionally. Many stable clients like to check in with us every 3 months or so.
